About Victor Sanchez. Author of "The Teaching of Don Carlos" and "Toltecs of the New Millennium"

Victor Sanchez is a Mexican researcher who has developed workshops for personal and spiritual growth, applicable to the creative improvement of the every day life. He has lived for fifteen years with indigenous peoples of Mexico who, hidden in the mountains, have kept alive the spiritual path of the ancient Toltecs. His work among them has not been as an academic investigator, but instead as a participant dedicated to the preservation and continuation of their tradition. He gives workshops worldwide on the teachings described in his books, **"The Teachings of Don Carlos" , ** "Toltecs of the New Millenium" , "The Toltec Path of Recapitulation, Heal Your Past to Free Your Soul" and The Toltec Oracle.

About Victor Sanchez:

After the wonder of his first encounters with indigenous peoples, Victor Sanchez set out to study academic anthropology. From there he returned to the indigenous world, and discovered "anti-anthropology", an attitude of investigation that places emphasis on the human experience in the encounter with the otherness, not on intellectual reports that reduce reality to the narrow limits of a theoretical framework.

Although he is a young man, he has over twenty years experience in different fields that together have caused him to bring forth a proposal of human development called THE ART OF LIVING PURPOSEFULLY.

From his adventures in the world of nature (crossing deserts, jungles, and mountains, or exploring communication with whales and dolphins) he sees the reencounter with that world as the ideal space within which to reencounter our natural self, and the answers to our fundamental questions. In his work, this encounter with Nature is not an intellectual approximation or ecology of the mind. It is participation of the body and an ecology that comes from the heart which is expressed through a way of living.

From his experience with indigenous groups in Mexico - survivors who keep alive the Spiritual traditions of the ancient Toltecs - he brings us a message: we are children of the Sun, our nature is to shine and, as double beings, we must reincorporate into our daily lives the awareness of the other self, that lies hidden inside us, waiting to be resurrected in order to show us the Toltec we all unknowingly carry within us.

The proposals of Victor Sanchez are not mere affirmations whose existence terminates with the pages of a book or in the realm of thoughts; rather they are an open invitation to the practices that can incorporate them as a living substance into our daily experience. The workshops and seminars he has given through the years, express clearly that his message is not directed to the sphere of thinking; rather it points to the realm of experiences.

Above all, his work is an invitation for us to get away from thinking and talking about knowledge, and instead, begin to live it in our body and our heart, within the context of our everyday life and people. It is an invitation to take our own responsibility rather than to go on waiting for someone else to take it for us. And this is because, what we are searching for - the author tells us - it is inside us. The only prerequisite is to recover the essential experience of listening to ourselves, penetrating to that inner space where the Spirit dwells, from where it speaks to us without words, in the expression of what can only be called Silent Knowledge.

In THE TEACHINGS OF DON CARLOS, the author relates the testimony of his experience in developing and applying a practical methodology inspired by the books of Castaneda, and whose development was brought about through the means given to him from his experience among the indigenous peoples of the Toltec lineage.

In TOLTECS OF THE NEW MILLENIUM, Victor Sanchez narrates his experience among the Toltec survivors. In a personal style and from an anti- anthropological perspective, he opens the door to that parallel universe wherein dwell the Wirrarika, thus supplying a living testimony about indigenous knowledge as seen manifested from the inside.

“Now, in his new book “The Toltec Path of Recapitulation:Heal Your Past to Free Your Soul” Victor Sanchez shares a powerful technique which is the shamanic alternative for therapies such as psychoanalysis and other western therapy systems that look for the relief of the traumas of the past, based on the working with the mind.

Currently, Victor Sanchez continues his experiences among the surviving Toltecs. He has now accomplished the commitment made with the elders and the marakames of the Sierra Wirrarika on November 15, 1993: to submit a written register of a portion of the Wirrarika Spiritual Tradition, in a book not directed toward the general public but to these same indigenous communities, thus breaking the existing tradition among anthropologists and writers who generally do not return the fruits of their labors to the communities in which their investigations are carried out. The objective in gathering a written testimony about the Tradition was to contribute to the preservation of the traditions and practices partially described in Toltecs of the New Millennium and helping the new generations of Wirrarika, who are progressively learning how to read, so they can read not only books having to do with the world of the Tewaris (non-indigenous peoples), but also those which speak of their own Tradition. By the end of 1999, Victor Sanchez made official delivery of a couple hundred copies of the book “Recopilación de algunos elementos de la Tradición Wirrarika”, which has not published anywhere else, to the indigenous authorities of the Wirrarika region where he has been working all this years[1]

Aside from his experiences in the indigenous world, Victor Sanchez spends a large part of his time writing books and giving conferences, workshops, seminars and private work around the world. In a new stage of his work, starting in the year 2000, he and his team are introducing their work into the corporation world, in accordance to a vision for the time to come: corporations has such strong influence in the world that they can not be left aside from the need of increasing awareness on this planet. In accordance with this vision, Victor Sanchez is approaching leading edge corporations who’s CEO´s are interested not only in modifying the behavior of their employees for the sake of making profits but in promoting the self-realization of the members of their organizations as well.
