The Art of Living Purposefully

Working with The AVP Methodology

 Self-Training Courses

Is the workshop format not the right option for you? Is traveling to workshop locations out of the range of your current possibilities?  We have self-learning courses for those willing to work by themselves in their own area.

These programs are based on the Toltec principle of Nimomashtic (to teach yourself). Far from being a lesser method of learning, self-learning can be and is one of the most powerful ways of acquiring knowledge, because it implies that we get to know and develop our own resources, which are essential for any autonomous development of the individual.

Nimomashtic (to teach yourself) is what the ancient Toltecs called the process of knowledge; that's why they did not develop a tradition based on teachers and pupils, but rather on an encounter with that inner space, present in every human being, that we call silent knowledge. Nimomashtic is the spirit that will lead you through this challenge. That way you will assert the essentially personal responsibility of advancing on the path of knowledge.

Although the idea of a “self-learning through written instructions” program from another country may seem difficult due to the distance involved, the programs are designed in such a way that you can flow with the instructions, accomplishing the practices in a safe way.

The instructions of the programs are very detailed so that you can do the practices by yourself and have good results.

Self-training programs could be started at any moment.

As an option, AVP instructors offer private work of supervision and counseling to complement the self-training programs. Note: This modules have a self-training, self-directing format. Personal consultation or questions are not necessary for the process. However, e.mail, mail or phone consultation could be available for a fee, which would be arranged through hour office.

The AVP Program for Personal Growth

This is a Self-Training program, consisting mainly of human development practices that you do in your everyday life and complemented with some practices to be done in nature.

The program covers the four basic areas of self-transformation and personal growth from an integral perspective, in accordance to our nature as double beings (Tonal-Nagual).

These four areas correspond to the following four modules that compose this program:

 Modules

  1. Recapitulation: Restoration of the energetic field; getting rid of personal history**

  2. Human Being as a Field of Energy: Saving, redirecting and increasing one’s own energy

  3. Not-Doings of the Personal Self: Reinventing one’s self

  4. Clarification and Search for a Vision: You gather your knowledge and make a solitary retreat in the wilderness, according to the Toltec tradition

**(some of the contents of this module overlap with the materials of Victor Sanchez´ new book The Toltec Path of Recapitulation and could be sustituted for your own recapitulation program if you are working with that book)

For each module, the participant will receive a set of instructions with a detailed program of activities to be carried out by him or her for a three-month period.

The modules will be sent by e-mail or international parcel service.

The modules are available in Spanish or English, depending on participant’s preference.

Cost:

$200 USD per module

$200 USD discount if you pay for the entire course in advance ($600 USD for the four modules)

Note: This modules have a self-training, self-directing format. Personal consultation or questions are not necessary for the process. However, e.mail, mail or phone consultation could be available for a fee, which would be arranged through hour office.
